They say that we can't talk for now,
That you're too far away.
When I asked them for a telephone,
They said it doesn't work that way.

They say that you are with me,
Everywhere I go, like we're playing

But weren't you happy before?
They say that you're playing in the clouds,
Instead of working at the store.

I miss the way you held my hand
As we walked across the street,
I miss the way you use to say

When "Bring Your Parent" day came to school,
Daddy's eyes filled with tears.
I asked him what was wrong,
He said he wished that you were here.

Daddy sometimes cries at night,
He really misses you…
Whenever he comes home from work,
He drones the same old tune…

Mommy, I know they say
That Heaven is too far away,
But even if it's just for a day
Will you please come visit me?
